The Gripfast Combination Power Chuck is designed for ultra-quick jaw changes in seconds - ideal for small batch production on CNC lathes and turning centres. Now comes in 5 and 6 jaw versions to handle delicate components and also a new 3+1 Gripfast chuck has recently been added to the range.

International Power chucks have a repetitive gripping accuracy of 0.025mm TIR and are fitted with the setrite feature as standard. Designed specifically for use on CNC lathes.

Self-contained power chucks have a built-in air cylinder actuated by an interlocked control unit, or they can be interfaced directly from the lathes own control system.

2: Self Contained Power Chucks

Pratt Burnerd offers a range of pneumatically-operated power chucks with an incorporated cylinder. 
The Self Contained Power Chuck simply bolts onto the lathe spindle nose - no rear mounted cylinder or drawtube is required, just airline connections from the control unit. 
The chuck’s simplicity allows rapid interchangeability with standard manual chucks or collet chucks and is perfect for small and medium batch component production on conventional lathes and all models of CNC machines for either bar or chucking work.
These easy retrofit self contained power chucks can quickly help you turn your existing manual lathe into a production machine.

Gripfast Power Chuck

• Quick change jaw system that allows base and top jaw sets to be exchanged in under 30 seconds, utilising either hard or machined soft jaws or your existing library of special top jaws, 60°, 90° or cross tenon etc
• Replaces a Collet chuck. The base jaws are ground to accept Collet pads within the chuck body for accuracy and increased gripping performance
• Setrite feature for finite adjustment ensures better and more consistent surface finish of the component
• Optional mandrel attachment allows internal gripping without necessity to remove and replace the chuck
• The Top Jaw Setting Fixture allows the operator to prepare top tooling for his next job while the machine is cutting metal
• The unique in-built anti-centrifugal counterbalance mechanism reduces loss of grip at high speeds
